The new dedicated cargo services will facilitate the movement of cross-boundary shipments and enhance AirBridgeCargo Airlines product offer for its customers in Asia. 

The airline has already a diverse business portfolio in the region, connecting clients in China, Japan and South Korea with its cargo gateways in Europe, USA and Russia. With Singapore, which became already the 9th online station in Asia for ABC, the airline will be providing over 500 weekly delivery solutions from this market, all with the delivery time below 48 hours including the handling procedures.

Logistics players who were previously limited by capacity constraints between Singapore and Russia, now have a direct option to transport large and odd sized cargo between the two countries. The enhanced air connectivity will further foster trade between both countries which already have been steadily growing. Beyond Russia, the geographically advantageous location of AirBridgeCargo’s Moscow hub also enhances Changi’s cargo connectivity to Europe and United States.”

Changi Airport is one of the world’s busiest cargo hubs.  In the first half of 2015, cargo shipments at Changi Airport stood stable at 912,300 tonnes compared to a year ago.  During the same period, 1,034 tonnes of cargo were handled between Singapore and Russia.  Between 2010 and 2014, air cargo volumes between Singapore and Russia grew by an average growth rate of 16% annually.
