The first flight

It took place on April, 23 2004. Captain Vladimir Grebennikov and his crew operated Boeing 747-200, flight VDA222 from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport to Beijing, China – creating another milestone in the history of Volga-Dnepr Group.

From the very start of its operations, ABC was aimed at leveraging trade flows between Asia and Europe through its HQ in Russia, being flexible, proactive and fast in catering to the needs of the market and its customers. ABC, which began with a team of just 10 people in 2003 gradually was becoming more mature with expansion of its fleet, network development, and service quality.

ABC was only the group of enthusiastic logistics practitioners who were willing to challenge the air cargo world in Russia, breaking the barriers and building the new business from the scratch. Starting with 2 Boeing 747 ABC team managed to operate scheduled flights between five online destinations making its path to success in the world.

ABC stepped into the second decade of its operations being armed with the new fleet of Boeing 747-400ERF. Operational capabilities of this new airplanes have bolstered expansion of ABC network, as well as its determination to offer logistics solution for transportation of special cargoes. With high quality service being on the radar, ABC kept on improving its ‘delivered as promised’ index, aligned its internal procedures, and strengthened its international team.
