The main topic of AirCargoForum-2012 this time was “From Asia via Russia: integration on the basis of global experience". During the event all the participants discussed the prime themes of air cargo industry among them being current situation and e-freight realization which was developed by IATA and is implementing in Russia as a government inter sectorial project embracing all members of supply chain and federal authorities.
This forum is held for the third time under support of Ministry of Transport however for the first time it was organized as an independent platform for discussion of vital problems. The very fact that Air Cargo Forum has the status of independent event is considered to be the reflection of major role’s acknowledgement for air cargo industry in Russia.
ACF 2012 gathered not only Russian representatives, but also participants from international industry organizations and associations, airports and airlines, as well as governmental authorities.
Volga-Dnepr Group was one of the initiators for establishment of such a platform and was represented by Vice-president, Marketing and Strategy Development of the Group, Executive president of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, Tatyana Arslanova whose speech covered the topic “Role of the Russian aviation cargo industry into worldwide logistics”. In her presentation Tatyana highlighted current issues of air cargo industry development, emphasized the problems ABC is facing with in its daily performance and underlined importance of e-freight project realization for Russia. She has also suggested possible ways out for these problems’ solution which could be obtained only thanks to the efforts of all industry players.
During evening function organized at the State Historical Museum AirBridgeCargo Airlines was recognized by the Ministry of Transport for its active participation into project development and its implementation in Russia.
