The airline has safely delivered 20 cars from its hub at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport to destinations in Europe, North America and Asia that are served by ABC’s scheduled Boeing 747 freighter flights.
AirBridgeCargo was chosen to transport eight cars in September. Four vehicles were delivered to Chicago, two were carried to Munich and the others were bound for Frankfurt and Paris. The cars were moved following the end of the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2012, now a major annual event in the automotive industry calendar.
Among the other vehicles ABC successfully shipped during the month were a Lamborghini to a car show in Milan, Lada Granta and Toyota cars to Tokyo, Japan, Volkswagen Tiguan and Volkswagen Polo cars to Chicago and a Rolls Royce to Frankfurt Showtime in Germany.
“The fact that our airline has been singled out from other carriers to move these vehicles is a reflection of our reputation in the market as a trustworthy airline with a proven track record. We have carried cars ever since we first launched commercial flights in 2004 and this is now an extremely important and growing industry sector for AirBridgeCargo and our freight forwarding customers,” said ABC’s Executive President, Tatyana Arslanova.
