Ilin, who took up his new post on August 1st 2013, has spent the last five years as Head of Aviation for Basic Element, the Russian diversified holding, with focus on expansion and corporate management of the Basel’s airport portfolio, development of new M&A projects and strategic partnerships.
He previously held several top-level roles in Volga Dnepr Group, including Operations Manager of Volga Dnepr UK (United Kingdom), General Director of AirBridgeCargo, , and Senior Vice President, Strategy, Marketing and Sales, and had made a significant contribution to the start-up and establishment of Volga Dnepr Group’s scheduled cargo business.
Denis Ilin’s new responsibilities will be to increase ABC’s quality, competitiveness and operational effectiveness, and to centralization the global business management.
Commenting on his new appointment, Denis Ilin said: “Despite the challenging market conditions facing all-cargo airlines, I see a very strong and positive future for AirBridgeCargo Airlines. The airline has an excellent team of professionals and good growth potential.
